‘Since 2019 I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Andy Pitt from Optimotive on several new vehicle projects, where his expert guidance and teams performance has consistently been outstanding.
For the Grenadier Project, Optimotive played a pivotal role in the initial software development phase, ensuring a seamless future transition from engineering to manufacturing environment, which is often the Achilles’ heel of many organisations. Optimotive expertise was instrumental in manufacturing when it came to implementation of diagnostics hardware and software for testing and flashing software on this unique vehicle. As the project progressed, Optimotive hands-on involvement in the final stages was critical in bringing the first models to market both in manufacturing facility in France as well as UK distribution hub. Their clear organizational structure and comprehensive documentation made them an invaluable asset to the successful launch of this remarkable vehicle.
Beyond the Grenadier Project, Optimotive supported me with their expertise through baseline consultancy services in further startups, including the EV Lifestyle Vehicle by Canoo USA and Hydrogen Light Commercial Vehicle by First Hydrogen Ltd UK. Optimotive thorough guidance and cost assessments laid a strong foundation for these projects, further demonstrating Optimotive value and reliability as a partner.
I will definitely be reaching out for Optimotive support in future projects. Their agile organization provides a dynamic approach, which is a rare find when working with large
corporations, but yet so important when launching vehicles, whether they are ICE, EV, or FCEV.

The whole team have a ‘can do’ mindset, and though a Director, Andy in particular, is not afraid to get ‘hands on’ and is often found in the workshop conducting validation and verification testing, and yet is also capable of demonstrating great management skills and will often liaise with Seniors, and at all levels.
