CAN FD Connector

Description

The CAN FD Adapter from Autel is designed to connect to compatible vehicle communication interfaces (VCIs) in order to facilitate communication via the CAN FD (flexible data-rate) communications protocol and diagnose the vehicle using its tablets.

Many General Motors and Ford vehicles from 2019 and 2020 currently utilise the CAN FD protocol.Autel’s MX808, MS905, MS906, MS906BT, MS906TS, MS908, MS908S, MS908P, MS908SP, MSELITE, IM508, and IM608 tablets will have the capability to diagnose vehicles equipped with CAN-FD when the adapter is connected directly to the VCI, as is the case with the smaller VCI units, or via the OBD-II cable connected to the larger VCIs and plugged into the vehicle’s OBD-II port.
